We started from a small episode from "The Tempest" of William Shakespeare.
Within one year, artists from different countries have tried
to create the poetic description of the Earth, a universal
archive of elements, which would describe the
whole world. Certainly, it is
impossible to create this
library in real physical
space, but if we look at is as
a metaphor, we can find the
solution. We have tried to
create this collective
metaphor and, in my opinion,
it appeared vivid and
poetic.
What is the essence of Prospero’s Library? It is a wind, blowing through the pages of the universal archive. It is a reflection of the project metaphor. It is a catalogue of elements.
